Join Us on Saturday, April 26th, 2008

While we work year-round -- performing emergency repairs, installing safety devices, weatherizing houses, raising money, training volunteers, and planning for the future -- our largest annual event, National Rebuilding Day, remains the main focus of our organization. Held each year, usually on the last Saturday in April, in the spirit of a traditional American "barn raising" an average of 1,000 skilled and un-skilled volunteers join together to repair anywhere from 40 to 70 homes between one community in Baltimore City and one community in Baltimore County.

Volunteers also complete one or more community projects in each location, which are designed to repair or improve common space elements, revitalize the neighborhood, and involve members of the community at all levels; low-income, high-income, young and... not so young.

On a national level, Rebuilding Together will assemble an average of 250,000 volunteers, who will repair about 8,500 homes, in more than 1,800 cities and towns across America in just one amazing day of volunteerism.

Please sign up to work with us on our next Rebuilding Day in Baltimore as we repair homes and work on community projects in the Baltimore City neighborhood of Pen Lucy and the Baltimore County neighborhood of Turner Station. Whether you are a professional plumber, carpenter, electrician, home handyperson, gardener, or a just a friendly neighbor willing to pick up a paint brush, broom or shovel, your help will be greatly appreciated and the experience will be one that you will value forever.
