Building with Erie and Medifast

In September, we worked with Erie Insurance and Medifast to provide safe and healthy housing repairs and improvements for Ms. Mary Madden and Mrs. Sedonia Byrd in the Woodbourne-McCabe neighborhood.

Our first project took place on September 10th and 11th in observance of the September 11th National Day of Service and remembrance. Volunteers from Erie Insurance, one of the largest property and casualty insurers in America, devoted their time during the two day event. Over 30 Erie employees came from all over Maryland to devote their time to give back to the community.

Later in September, Rebuilding Together Baltimore worked with Medifast to help work on safe and healthy housing repairs on the home of Ms. Mary Madden. Medifast’s community impact program encourages employees to volunteer with organizations and give back into the community. In addition to working on Ms. Madden’s home, volunteers also helped finish up some projects at Ms. Byrd’s home and beautified the park between their homes. 20 wonderful Medifast volunteers came out and made a huge impact!
