Rebuilding Together Baltimore continues to build on our investment in the Greater Govans community. On November 10, we gave GEDCO CARES a makeover! GEDCO CARES provides many important services to the Greater Govans community. They help our neighbors who are homeless, hungry, and those that need jobs/ job readiness assistance. GEDCO CARES connects individuals with food through their food pantry service, helps individuals update their resumes and find jobs, provides computer competency training, and many other services that have a direct impact in helping people in the neighborhood with basic needs.
Though GEDCO CARES has a small space, they serve a lot of people in the Govans area and their impact in the community is important. We are very excited to have the opportunity to assist them by giving the space a fresh look. Over 40 volunteers from Cricket Wireless and Towson University assisted with a new paint job, and installations of furniture and equipment that will help CARES continue to provide services more smoothly and more efficiently. Join us in commending CARES for the work they do every day to help community members find jobs, access food, and find other critical services.
